“Life Is a Journey – Travel Drug Free”

You are invited to participate in a week of spirit to celebrate our choice to be drug free! We have a wonderful program and visitors coming to school for each grade level, as well as daily spirit days, DNN announcements, and daily yellow ticket drawings on DNN for special prizes! We encourage teachers and staff to participate as well to help show kids that we are all standing together against the increasing problem of drugs and alcohol use. Please let us know if you have any questions!

Monday: “Proud To Be Drug Free” – everyone wear RED to kick off a great week! Students will receive their 2018 Red Ribbons. “The Woodlands Fire Department” will be here for Kind and 1st graders.

Tuesday: “Don’t Get Tied Up In Drugs” – students can wear a tie to school. There will be a “Be a Hero” Presentation for 2nd – 6th Graders

Wednesday: “Team Up Against Drugs” – wear your favorite team shirt or jersey

Thursday: “Don’t Let Drugs Pollute Your Mind” –wear a green shirt

Friday: “Our School Chooses to Be Drug Free” – Students will either wear a “Deretchin” shirt or a shirt with our school colors. Students will also participate in our “Pledge to a Drug-Free Life” on DNN. Immediately following, students will sign the individual pledge cards that we will provide.

All students are welcome in participating in our “Red Ribbon Week” Poster Contest.
