April 5, 2012 - Sixth grade sectionals have been scheduled and posted. They will begin the week of April 9, 2012. If you are not receiving email reminders about sectionals, please contact me as soon as possible so that I may amend this.
April 2, 2012 - Orchestra Karate belt testing has been moved to the end of the week rather than the beginning of the week.
March 29, 2012 - A new quarter has started. Along with their belt materials, students should be working on their concert music. A list of upcoming assessments is available on the Charms website. If you need help logging in, let me know.
March 20, 2012 - Concerts are fast approaching. How's your practicing coming along?
February 27, 2012 - Links to sample recordings of the String Fling music have been posted in the class assignments pages. My next project is to provide practice tracks on Charms for facilitated practice at home.

October 17, 2011 - Congratulations to Zachary Lee for his successful audition for the 2011 All-Region Orchestra Clinic and Concert. He competed with junior high students from Conroe, Klein, and Tomball ISDs to be accepted as a violinist in the higher orchestra. Way to go, Zach!
October 4, 2011 - I apologize for any delay in correspondence due to technical difficulties. I will be returning email and phone calls shortly.
September 21, 2011 - I will be sending orchestra progress reports home within the next couple weeks. These will need to be signed and returned for a grade (and honor point.)

September 5, 2011 - Sixth grade practice charts have begun.
August 23, 2011 - Fifth grade, we will officially begin working with instruments next week. With the exception of those taking lessons, I'm asking fifth grade students to keep their instruments at school until we have established strong habits in instrument care and posture. This will also give me the chance to service the instruments, place fingerboard tapes, etc...
Sixth grade, we will hopefully get started on instruments by Friday at the latest. Monday will be certainly a day for instruments.
