The focus of the day is to encourage our students to “get out of the cars and onto the pathways” – not just for the event day, but for the rest of the school year. This event encourages more physical activity, more family involvement, and a better, safer, cleaner environment for all of us.
Do you live too far to walk the whole way?
Drive to the retail center called The Colonnade of The Woodlands located at 30420 FM 2978 (just north of the Woodlands Parkway and FM 2978 intersection; behind/beside Exxon Mobil located at 10190 Woodlands Parkway) and park and walk the rest of the way to Deretchin.
(Please enter the parking lot from FM 2978 if you arrive by car.)
Meet at 7:15 AM. Walking begins at 7:25 AM down the sidewalk connecting to the west side of Montfair Boulevard.We will continue walkin’ and rollin’ along Montfair Boulevard until we arrive at Deretchin!
Get up earlier, dress appropriately and give yourself time so that you can walk or bike to school. It will be a great day!
This is not a drop off event – a parent or guardian must accompany a child the entire walk.
******THIS EVENT OCCURS IN THE MORNING ONLY! TEACHERS MUST RECEIVE A NOTE IF AFTERNOOON TRANSPORTATION ON THIS DAY WILL BE DIFFERENT FROM THE STUDENT’S NORMAL AFTERNOON TRANSPORTATION. IF A NOTE IS NOT SENT, THE STUDENT WILL GO HOME BY THEIR AFTERNOON DISMISSAL TAG.******
